Riding Mill lies along the A695 in Northumberland's Tyne Valley, roughly 15 miles west of Newcastle. This railway village sits on the south bank of the River Tyne, accessible via the A69 and A695 corridor that connects Newcastle to Hexham in about 30 minutes. The station remains active on the Newcastle-Carlisle line, one of the few small Northumberland villages with direct rail links to both Newcastle and the Lake District.
