Riccall

Riccall lies in the Vale of York, 20km south of York via the A19. This North Yorkshire village sits on flat farmland where the River Ouse winds through fields that occasionally flood in winter. Most visitors arrive on the A19 from York or connect via the M62 and A614 for longer journeys. The village famously served as the landing point for Viking longships before the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066.
