Rhymney
Wales
Rhymney lies in the upper Rhymney Valley in Caerphilly County Borough, accessible via the A469 from Cardiff through Caerphilly or from the A465 Heads of the Valleys road. The town occupies a valley position below the Brecon Beacons, creating cooler, wetter conditions than the coast. The 1886 clock tower commemorating the former Rhymney Iron Company remains the town's most recognisable landmark.
