Reddish lies between Stockport and Manchester's eastern edge, easily reached via Junction 25 of the M60 or the A6 from Manchester city centre. The A560 provides connections to Stockport and onwards to the Peak District. Manchester Airport is 15 kilometres away via the A6 and M56. The town sits in the River Tame valley where the Pennine foothills begin, and boasts restored narrowboat moorings along the former Stockport Branch Canal.
