Redbourn is a Hertfordshire village on the old Roman Watling Street, now the A5183, about 30km northwest of London. Most reach it via M1 Junction 9, with local routes including the B487 from Harpenden. The village sits between the M1 and M25, making it handy for longer journeys, whilst Luton Airport is 15km away. The High Street boasts Tudor and Georgian buildings, including the 15th-century Red Lion pub that gave the village its name.
