Red Lumb is a small Greater Manchester settlement perched on elevated ground between Rochdale and the Pennine moors. The A680 provides the most straightforward 4-kilometre route from Rochdale centre, whilst longer journeys connect via the M62 at Junction 20. Over 200 EV charging points serve the broader area, mostly concentrated in Rochdale town centre. The settlement sits near the distinctive white scars of the former Norden Quarry.
