Ratoath is a growing commuter town in County Meath, sitting 25 kilometres northwest of Dublin along the M3 motorway. Take Junction 5 off the M3 for the most direct route from the capital, or use the R125 for local connections to Dunshaughlin. Dublin Airport is about an hour's drive via the M1, M50, and M3. The town has kept its own character despite the daily flow of Dublin commuters, with several golf courses and family amenities scattered about the surrounding countryside. The real gem is the medieval tower house in the town centre, a 15th-century remnant of Ratoath Castle that speaks to the area's Norman past.
