Rathven forms part of the string of fishing villages along Moray's coast, connected by the A98 from Aberdeen or Inverness. It's just 2km from Buckie and easily reached via daily local routes or longer coastal touring drives. The village has one of Scotland's finest circular doocots from the 16th century, featuring over 2,000 nesting boxes.
