Rathgar is a well-established residential area in Dublin's southern suburbs, just 4 kilometers from the city center via the R137. The M50 orbital motorway provides excellent access, with Junction 12 or 13 being your best bets for approaching the area. It's a handy base for reaching Dublin city center in 15-20 minutes or connecting to Dun Laoghaire through Rathmines. The suburb is famous for its distinctive red-brick Victorian and Edwardian houses along Rathgar Road, complete with characteristic bay windows and front gardens that perfectly capture Dublin's early 1900s suburban architecture.
