Rathdrum sits in County Wicklow's river valley about 50 kilometres south of Dublin, perfectly positioned for exploring the Wicklow Mountains. The town connects easily to Dublin via the R752 to the M11 at Rathnew, making it roughly an hour's drive through increasingly rural countryside. The R747 links south to Arklow, while local roads lead to Avoca village and the Meeting of the Waters. There's decent charging infrastructure with around 30 fast chargers nearby for electric vehicles. The area draws golfers to courses like Woodenbridge and hikers heading into Wicklow Mountains National Park. The Victorian railway station still operates on the Dublin-Rosslare line after more than 150 years.
