Ranish

Ranish is a small village on Lewis's eastern shore, about 15 kilometers south of Stornoway via the A859. Reached by CalMac ferry from Ullapool then a 20-minute drive, it sits above the Minch with views across to the mainland. The village retains traditional blackhouse ruins, distinctive stone cottages that once sheltered families and livestock together.
