Raisbeck is a small Cumbrian village in the Eden Valley, positioned between the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. Most visitors reach it via the M6 at Tebay (Junction 38), then follow the A685 eastward for about 6km before turning onto local roads. The village retains its Victorian-era Public Wash House and Baths, a rare surviving example of communal facilities that once served rural settlements across northern England.
