Rainow is a small Cheshire village perched on the western slopes of the Peak District, about 4km east of Macclesfield via the A537. This scenic route continues into Derbyshire, making the village a popular stop for Peak District explorers. The A537 provides the main access from surrounding towns, whilst Manchester lies roughly 25km northwest via the A34 and local roads. The village retains its Victorian character, centred around the original 1875 primary school building on School Lane.
