Quethiock is a small Cornish village reached via country lanes from the A390, which connects to the A38 for Plymouth and the motorway network. Local routes serve nearby communities like Saint Ive and Menheniot, whilst the A38 brings longer-distance visitors from Devon. The village name derives from Cornish meaning "wooded place," and ancient oaks still punctuate the surrounding countryside.
