Quarff lies in central Shetland, about 15km southwest of Lerwick via the A970. The village sits between Wester and Easter Quarff, serving as a useful base for exploring the island's western reaches. The surrounding farmland supports some of Shetland's finest sheep pastures, where livestock graze on grass that remains green throughout the year.
