Pyewipe forms part of Grimsby's eastern residential sprawl in North East Lincolnshire, where the Humber estuary meets flat agricultural terrain. The A180 provides the key route, connecting to the M180 and broader Yorkshire network, whilst the A1136 handles local Grimsby traffic. Most journeys are short local trips under 20km, with approximately 30 public EV charging points nearby. The name derives from the medieval dialect word for lapwing, whose calls once filled these former marshlands.
