Probus is a small Cornish village on the A390 between Truro and St Austell, surrounded by typical mid-Cornwall farming country with ancient hedgerows and rolling fields. The A390 provides the main route through, connecting Cornwall's central towns, whilst country lanes serve surrounding hamlets like Grampound and Tresillian. The village boasts one of Cornwall's finest church towers, a 15th-century structure standing 123 feet tall and visible for miles across the countryside.
