Portree is Skye's main town and the island's administrative hub, perched around a sheltered harbour on the east coast. You'll reach it via the A87 across Skye Bridge from Kyle of Lochalsh, about 2.5 hours from Inverness through some of Scotland's finest Highland scenery. The town has roughly six EV charging points and serves as the perfect base for exploring the island's famous landscapes. The harbour's row of brightly coloured houses creates one of Scotland's most iconic waterfronts.
