Portloe

England

England

Portloe is a tiny fishing village on Cornwall's Roseland Peninsula, reached via winding lanes from the A3078 near Veryan. The final approach down to the harbour is notoriously steep and narrow. Popular with holidaymakers driving down from upcountry, it offers limited parking and dramatic clifftop walks. The village's small boats must be winched up the slipway at high tide to survive Atlantic storms.
