Portencross perches on the Ayrshire coast between West Kilbride and Seamill, with cracking views across to Arran. Take the A78 from Glasgow (45km) or nip over from West Kilbride on the B781. Plenty of EV charging nearby. The ruins of 14th-century Portencross Castle still guard the shoreline like a weathered sentinel.
