Port-Eynon perches on the Gower Peninsula's southern tip, reached via the A4118 from Swansea in half an hour. Cardiff drivers take the M4 to Junction 42, then the A483 through Swansea. The village boasts a two-mile stretch of golden sand, but its real treasure is the 14th-century salt house—one of Wales' few surviving medieval salt production buildings.
