Polmont lies in central Scotland between Edinburgh and Glasgow, easily reached via Junction 4 of the M9 motorway. The town serves as a useful stopping point on the Edinburgh-Glasgow corridor, with excellent rail connections and approximately 100 EV charging points nearby. Most notable is Polmont Young Offenders Institution, a Category C prison operating since 1911.
