Pluscarden

Pluscarden is a small Moray village, 6km southwest of Elgin via the B9010 from the A96. The area's sheltered position creates a surprisingly mild microclimate. The village centres on Pluscarden Abbey, Scotland's only medieval monastery still housing an active Benedictine community, where white-robed monks maintain centuries-old traditions of prayer and contemplation.
