Pittenweem sits along the Fife coast between Anstruther and St Monans, reached via the scenic A917 coastal road. From Edinburgh, take the A90 over the Forth Road Bridge then follow the A915 through Kirkcaldy. The village retains an active fishing fleet and features Scotland's only cave shrine to St Fillan, carved into the rock beneath the main street.
