Pitney is a Somerset Levels village positioned between Langport and RNAS Yeovilton on characteristically flat, drained marshland. Access comes via the A372 from either the A303 at Podimore or through Langport from the A361, with most visitors approaching from M5 junction 23. The area offers approximately 50 public EV charging points, and Pitney sits on one of the few slightly elevated spots in the Levels, explaining why it developed here rather than in the surrounding lower fields.
