Pitcaple

Pitcaple is a small Aberdeenshire village in the Garioch valley, 30km northwest of Aberdeen via the A96 trunk road. The B9002 connects it to Inverurie for daily commuters, whilst the scenic B993 serves local farming communities. Electric vehicle charging is available in nearby Inverurie and along the A96. The village name derives from Gaelic "Pit Capuill," meaning "horse enclosure," recalling its past as a staging post on the old drove roads.
