Pilsdon is a small West Dorset village reached via minor roads from the A35 coastal route. The A35 connects to the M3/A303 from London or the A30 from the southwest. The village sits below Pilsdon Pen, Dorset's highest point at 277 metres, topped by an Iron Age hillfort.
