Picket Post is a New Forest village in Hampshire, positioned just off the A31 between Winchester and Ringwood. The settlement provides easy access to the forest's ancient woodlands and heathland, with the B3078 running north to Salisbury and local roads connecting to Burley and Lymington. The village takes its name from an old boundary stone that marked the edge of royal hunting grounds, which still stands near the crossroads.
