Phorp lies in Moray's sheltered farmland, enjoying Scotland's driest climate courtesy of the surrounding hills. The A96 connects it directly to Inverness and Aberdeen, whilst local roads serve nearby Forres and the whisky country. Electric vehicle drivers will find around 10 fast charging points scattered about town. The old Victorian railway station now houses a microbrewery using the original locomotive water springs.
