Pettigo straddles the border between County Donegal and County Fermanagh, with the River Termon running through its heart and the international boundary cutting right down the main street. You can literally stand with one foot in Ireland and the other in Northern Ireland, marked by small stone posts. The town sits on the N15 connecting Donegal Town (25km south) with Lifford, while drivers from Belfast typically come via the A4 and A32 through Omagh (40km). A couple of public fast chargers serve electric vehicles, and the place makes a handy stop when crossing between the Republic and the North.
