Pentrich
England
Pentrich is a former mining village in Derbyshire's Amber Valley, positioned along the A38 between Derby and the M1. The A38 provides the main access route, with connections to Derby 8 miles south and the M1 at Junction 28 via Alfreton. The village sits in rolling countryside typical of the East Midlands transition zone. Pentrich was the starting point of the 1817 Pentrich Revolution, an ill-fated armed uprising that marched toward Nottingham.
