Pennycomequick

England

England

Pennycomequick forms part of central Plymouth, sitting just north of the city centre between Mutley and Ford. The A386 Tavistock Road runs straight through it, providing the main route to the city centre and continuing north toward Dartmoor, whilst the A38 offers quick connections for longer journeys. The area developed during Victorian times and remains a busy residential district. The name comes from a 16th-century inn called "Penny Come Quick" that once served travellers on the old Tavistock road.
