Penilee is a residential district in southwest Glasgow, easily accessed via the M8 motorway and A739 Paisley Road West. Located about 8km from the city centre and 6km from Glasgow Airport, it's well-positioned for both local trips to nearby Cardonald and Hillington, and longer journeys along the M8 to Edinburgh. The area features distinctive 1950s four-storey tenement blocks, built as part of Glasgow's post-war housing programme to replace inner-city slums.
