Pednormead End

England

England

Pednormead End is a quiet residential area in the Chilterns, just off the A413 between Amersham and Great Missenden. It's part of greater Chesham, surrounded by beech woods and chalk downs. Most traffic uses the A413 to reach the M25 at Junction 18, making it popular with London commuters. The nearby Chess Valley contains some of England's clearest chalk streams, once home to Kenneth Grahame's inspiration for Ratty from The Wind in the Willows.
