Pathhead, Midlothian
Scotland
Scotland
Pathhead is a former mining village in Midlothian, positioned along the A68 about 20 kilometres southeast of Edinburgh. The A68 provides direct access from the capital via Dalkeith, continuing south toward the Borders, whilst the parallel A7 offers an alternative route. With over 150 fast charging points nearby and good links to Edinburgh, it's a convenient stop for electric vehicle drivers. The village retains a striking 19th-century railway viaduct that towers over the settlement, though trains no longer pass beneath its stone arches.
