Parchey lies on the Somerset Levels, that distinctive patchwork of reclaimed marshland between Bridgwater and the coast. The village connects via local roads to the A39, with the M5 about 15 minutes east for longer journeys. Most traffic here is local - residents nipping between the scattered Levels villages or heading to Bridgwater for the shops. There are over 60 EV charging points nearby, mainly clustered around Bridgwater. The whole area sits barely above sea level, and the local roads still follow the medieval drove routes once used to move cattle across the winter floods.
