Pallasgreen is a handy spot in County Limerick, about 20 kilometres southeast of the city, where several local roads meet up. You can reach it via the R512 from Limerick through Castletroy, or from Cork by taking the N20 north to Charleville then cutting across on country roads. The R663 connects it from the east, and it's a grand 25-minute commute to Limerick city. The Sean Treacy Memorial Swimming Pool commemorates the local IRA commander born here in 1895, giving the town a notable place in the independence struggle.
