Oyne is a small Aberdeenshire village about 30km northwest of Aberdeen, reached via the A96 and local roads through Inverurie or Oldmeldrum. The village sits amongst rolling farmland between the Bennachie hills and Garioch valley, with good connections to Aberdeen, Inverness, and surrounding market towns. The 1780 parish church features an unusual laird's loft with its own fireplace.
