Oykell Bridge lies in remote Sutherland where the A837 crosses the River Oykel. It's reached via the A837 from Lairg (30km southeast) or from Lochinver and the coast (45km west) on winding single-track roads. The route connects fishing villages with inland glens, serving as a scenic Highland waypoint. Salmon are often visible from the bridge during autumn spawning runs.
