Ormiscaig perches on Scotland's northwest coast in Wester Ross, overlooking Gruinard Bay amidst the dramatic Highland peaks. Reach it via the scenic A832 from Gairloch (15km) or the longer but equally stunning route from Inverness via A835 and A832 through Glen Carron. The settlement sits directly opposite Gruinard Island, the former biological warfare testing site only declared safe in 1990.
