Oreston lies on Plymouth's eastern edge in Devon, where the Plym Estuary meets Plymouth Sound. This residential area connects to the city centre via the A379, which runs east toward Kingsbridge and the South Hams. Local routes include Billacombe Road for trips to Plymstock and central Plymouth, whilst the A38 brings longer-distance traffic from the motorway network. The area sits just 3 kilometres from Plymouth's naval dockyards and historic Barbican, where the Mayflower departed for America in 1620.
