Old Windsor sits along the Thames just four kilometres from Windsor Castle, offering a quieter alternative to the tourist crowds. Reach it via the A308 from Junction 13 of the M25, or locally from Datchet and Englefield Green. The village sits on flat Thames Valley terrain with mild temperatures year-round. St. Peter's Church contains a rare 15th-century doom painting above the chancel arch.
