Old Basing lies just east of Basingstoke, reached via the A30 which runs straight through the village. From the M3 Junction 6, it's a simple 3-mile drive north on the A30, whilst local routes include the B3400 from surrounding Hampshire villages. The area has over 100 EV charging points nearby in Basingstoke. The village sits in the gentle Hampshire Downs countryside beside the River Loddon, famous for the dramatic ruins of Basing House - once England's largest private home before Parliamentary forces destroyed it during the Civil War siege of 1645.
