Ogle is a Northumberland village 15 miles northwest of Newcastle, reached via the A696 from Newcastle International Airport. The 14th-century Ogle Castle, a well-preserved pele tower with original vaulted chambers, dominates the village centre and exemplifies the region's turbulent Border history.
