Occold is a Suffolk village between Eye and Diss, reached via the A140 from Norwich or Ipswich. Most locals drive short hops to Eye for shops or Diss for the London rail link. The village church houses an exceptional 15th-century rood screen with carved figures that escaped Reformation destruction.
