Nutclough occupies a steep-sided valley position in the Pennines between Hebden Bridge and the surrounding mill villages. The A646 provides the main access route through the Calder Valley, connecting to the M62 at Junction 24 via the A629. Electric vehicle drivers will find over 150 fast charging points locally. The Rochdale Canal runs through the village with functioning locks still used by narrowboats.
