Nunhead occupies elevated ground in south London between Peckham and New Cross, easily reached via the A202 Old Kent Road or South Circular. Most visitors approach from central London via London Bridge and the Old Kent Road, whilst locals use Queens Road and Nunhead Lane as main routes. The area's Victorian cemetery spans 52 acres with a Gothic Revival chapel that's visible from the approach roads.
