Northney perches on the northern tip of Hayling Island, reached via the A3023 from Havant across the island's single road bridge. The journey from Portsmouth takes 20 minutes, whilst London's about 90 minutes via the A3 and A27. This quiet spot overlooks Langstone Harbour's tidal channels and mudflats, with the South Downs visible across the water. The old Hayling Billy railway trackbed still runs nearby, a reminder of when steam trains brought Victorian holidaymakers to this corner of the coast.
