Northenden occupies a pleasant spot in south Manchester, roughly 8km from the city centre along the River Mersey. The A5145 provides the main route in from Manchester, whilst Junction 5 of the M60 offers motorway access via the A5103. Manchester Airport lies just 6km away, making this a convenient base for air travellers. With over 300 EV charging points nearby and excellent links to the M56 for Chester and North Wales, it's well-positioned for both local and longer journeys. The area's claim to fame is the Mersey Valley Visitor Centre, housed in a striking 1930s Art Deco former electricity substation.
