North Shields sits where the River Tyne meets the North Sea, connected to Newcastle by the A19 and A1058 Coast Road. The A19 provides the main route north to Scotland and south toward Yorkshire, whilst the Coast Road links eastward to Tynemouth and Whitley Bay. With over 350 fast charging points nearby and Newcastle Airport 25 kilometers northwest, it's well-positioned for both coastal touring and regional connections. The town houses the world's smallest working lighthouse at just 9 meters tall.
